NATALIE IS MOST LIKELY KNOWN FOR HER ROLE AS ONE OF THE PROFESSIONAL DANCERS ON THE BBC'S HIT SHOW 'STRICTLY COME DANCING'. HAVING APPEARED IN THE LAST TWO SERIES, SHE HAS BUILT UP A FOLLOWING OF DEDICATED FANS AND HAS BECOME A HIGHLY RECOGNISABLE FIGURE AND PERSONALITY IN THE WORLD OF DANCE.

Natalie Lowe was born in 1980 in the North West of Sydney, Australia. She is the youngest of 3 children, and became inspired from an early age by her brother Glenn and sister Kylie when her neighbours introduced the Lowe family to Ballroom dancing at their local RSL Club. Natalie, too young to dance at this stage looked on in admiration and couldn’t wait for the day she tried on her first pair of dance shoes. After one year figuring out which was her left from her right Natalie was ready to have her first try out. At 5 years of age Natalie found the perfect partner in her brother Glenn and this became the start of something amazing. For the first 3 years they won every competition they enetered including all major National Latin, Ballroom and New Vogue Championships. They were asked to perform in the opening number of the show ‘The World’s Greatest Dance Spectacular' in front of 6000 people a night for Jason Gilkison and Peta Roby. Natalie was off to a good start and by the age of 8 she took her first overseas trip to Taiwan and represented Australia at the International Championships. This was just a little taste of what was to come. Natalie continued to strive throughout her schooling years juggling practice and lessons 5 nights a week along with her homework. This was hard for Natalie because her love for dance grew stronger the older she got. Leaving school at the age of 16 Natalie’s parents felt it was important for her to get a trade behind her just incase she needed something to fall back on. So what better trade to go for than one she was already familiar with, Natalie studied Make- Up Artistry specialising in High End Fashion Make-up and Special effects, working on film set’s, fashion shoots and major Hair and Beauty event’s, She did enjoy the creative side but found this took too much focus away from her dancing. Natalie decided to take some more time out to study to become an Esthetician. Natalie finally found the perfect balance between her career in the beauty industry and her love of dance, when she built and managed one of Sydney’s Leading Day Spas working with 8 of the best skin care companies in the world. Natalie is just as passionate about Skin Care and the Beauty industry as she is with her dancing. Natalie went to work every day, danced every night and competed both nationally and internationally every weekend and loved every minute of it. Hard work, dedication, patient parents and the enjoyment that came from dancing with her brother was what drove her to do all she wanted to do. Natalie’s brother taught her a lot! Glenn was an amazing Ballroom boy who glided across the dance floor with grace and ease.. Glenn used to work Natalie so hard in rehearsals, being 5 years older than her and already an Amateur Champion. Natalie certainly had big shoes to fill and wanted to do her brother proud, and she did. They won numerous championships in both Ballroom and New Vogue during their 5 years of dancing together. Dancing with Glenn is one of Natalie’s favorite memories in her career, one she will never forget.. Natalie had wonderful coaches in Australia and as advised by them it was time to move to the UK to further her education and skills on the international circuit. Due to family illness this prevented Natalie from leaving the country. Throughout the course of time her family member began to recover and Natalie was offered the role of her lifetime. Natalie was asked to audition for the highest rating show in the history of Australian television: Channel 7’s’ Dancing With the Stars’, and this was the beginning of her amazing television career. With her warm personality and ability to fulfill and connect with both her celebrity partner and the people watching from home she was a must-have for series 1. Competing as a Professional dancer in Series 1 and 2 and making the final with Rugby League legend Ian Robert’s Natalie decided to take a break from the program to experience life on the road and tour with the most brilliant ballroom dancing company and show the world has ever seen: Jason Gilkison’s ‘Burn the Floor’. Natalie toured with this ground breaking Theatre and Arena show for 5 years with her wonderful partner Stefano Olivieri, touring over 17 different cities, across 3 continents to countries as far as London, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China. Impressing 8000 people per night was extremely enjoyable as that is where Natalie feel’s most at home. Having been asked back on Dancing With The Stars, Natalie graced us with her elegant moves once again coming back to Win Series 5 With Anthony Koutafedies. This was yet another extremely memorable highlight in Natalie’s Career, holding up the mirror ball is something she will never forget. Making the semi-final in series 6 with Home and Away’s Tim Campbell, judges thought he was the most talented dancer the show had ever seen, Natalie decided to perform for Australia for one more year before looking at a new challenge, again making the Final with Boxer Danny Green in series Flying to the UK for one day to audition For Strictly Come Dancing was the best career move Natalie has ever made. Natalie arrived in the UK with open arms and the British public welcomed her like she was one of their own... She felt nothing but support and encouragement especially when she was living in Liverpool, whilst dancing in Series 7 with Ricky Whittle. She was blown away by their warmth and generosity, Natalie felt instantly at home. Keeping her eye on the Strictly Glitter Ball, Natalie’s determination to achieve great things with Strictly saw her in her first ever Strictly Come Dancing show and final with Ricky Whittle. Natalie is most happy with Strictly’s efforts for introducing Natalie to professional partner Ian Waite. Together Ian and Natalie truly are a match made in heaven. Performing together for both the Pro tour and Celebrity Tour, capturing the essence of the more traditional Ballroom style they are still very much a partnership and continue to entertain the British public with their classy dance spectacular. In 2010 Natalie got to hold up the Sport relief glitter ball with Dragon’s Den Peter Jones at the 02 Arena dancing in front of 15,000 Strictly fan’s. Most recently Natalie was one week off making the semi-final with EastEnder’s heartthrob Scott Maslen. Natalie really loved teaching 'Scottttt' to dance as he was such a natural. 'So You Think You Can Dance Australia' invited Natalie as a special guest to choreograph for their program this yeare but sheis now back in the UK to make this series of Strictly Come Dancing an even bigger and better one. Having over 10 years experience in the beauty industry, 25 years dance knowledge and also having a futher education in the media within TV presenting, Natalie is a lady with many talents who is constantly striving to achieve even more amazing opportunities. No matter how difficult Natalie clearly loves a challenge and embraces every opportunity that is placed in front of her. I love nothing more than to teach someone to dance from scratch. I am completely determined to get him or her looking great, exciting and presentable for TV. For me there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the progress in the celebrity from one week to the next. The day they lead you properly instead of you leading them etc, all those little things just make the experience more valuable. I like to teach a few basic fundamentals then get the routine finished, then revisit technique and polish choreography. Patience is the key, keep it fun… but note that it has to be quality rehearsal time. The most important thing for me is someone that is genuine, outgoing and willing to put in the hours. Someone that is eager to learn and will be as passionate about the journey as I am.
